Nothing substansial

I don't have anything great to post. I've been doing some reading in hopes to get better. I really want to do portraits but don't have any models to work with.

Anyway, here's a few pictures from the last little while.

Camera Bag Giveaway

I have been looking for cute camera bags that won't break the bank. I think I found some!

Jo Totes are sooo cute (most camera bags are just downright ugly) and are under $100. Perfect!

Plus, one of the blogs that I follow is doing a giveaway for one of them!

And so this post isn't completely picture-less, here's just a quick shot of the new car. I know Daniel wanted to see a picture (even though he's now driven it).

Elisa

My awesome co-teacher Elisa has her family in town and they wanted to take some pictures in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Her sister, Tiffany was taking the pictures but I asked if I could tag along to get some shooting in.

Somehow, I deleted the original of this, but just imagine the sky as white. The camera didn't pick up the blue sky. Here are a couple different ways I edited it.

Dogs

Jonathan's brother Dave, and his wife Melissa now have the dogs at their house that Jonathan and Dave grew up with. Chewy here is about 17 I think and still going strong. There is no rock chuck he can't catch.

This sweet guy is Auzzie. He's J's dog, but way too big to fit into our apartment.

Here's a last picture of Chewy. The one on the left is straight from the camera, the one on the right has some basic editing from gimp.

Day one

My birthday was yesterday and while I woke up with the flu, it was a great day. Jonathan had everything planned out perfectly, including seeing Toy Story 3 (which was fantastic). We also went to Barnes and Noble so I could pick out a photography book to use with my new camera. I chose Tom Ang's Digital Photography Masterclass. So far, it's been great.

A few days before my birthday J gave me my present because he couldn't wait. I'm so glad he did. It was the camera I've been lusting after--the Canon Rebel T2i. It wasn't the normal kit either--it had the 18-135mm zoom lens which is making me a happy girl.

I haven't been able to play around too much because I've been couch ridden, but I thought I'd show the pictures I've taken from my sick bed.

I've been watching Friends like crazy, but J isn't the biggest fan, so it's headphones for me.

Milton loves being under J's desk, or under small chairs.
